Harvest Festival

Our Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils led this year's Harvest festival service held in St. Mary's Church on Thursday 4th October with the help of Open the Book members. Year 3 pupils as a whole started the service off with a rendition of Cauliflowers Fluffy followed by Rabbit and Otter Class children reading aloud their Harvest fruit poems. Year 4 shared with the congregation their Harvest prayers in which they were thankful for the bountiful crops a harvest brings. Next our Year 5s joined with the Open the Book members to present a visual play called Lot's of Mouths to Feed. Throughout, the whole church came alive to sing Autumn days and the Harvest Hymn accompanied by Miss Wright on piano. During our final hymn of All things Bright and Beautiful our House Captains from Year 6 carried down the joint donations from each house to the altar. These generously donated items will be making their way to the needy in Great Yarmouth over the coming week.
